How to Start a Workout in Under a Minute (and Log It Properly)
Move suggests one session a day, builds a quick workout from the equipment you own, and logs sets with last time's numbers already filled in. Plus: what a walk after meals does.
The hardest part of a workout is the two minutes before it, deciding what to do. Move is built to remove that decision.
From nothing to your first set
Open Move and look at Today
One card, one suggestion, one Start button. In order of priority it offers: the workout you left unfinished, today's session from your plan, the routine you usually do on this weekday, or a quick session for whichever of legs, push or pull you haven't trained lately.
Or build a Quick workout
Pick a focus, a length and your equipment as three rows of chips. Your equipment and time are remembered, so next time it is one tap. A push day gives you presses and dips — not pull-ups — and a pull day the reverse.
Log as you go
Each set shows a faint hint of what to aim for: the set above, what you did last time, or the plan's target. Tick the set and the rest timer starts. Bodyweight moves show BW, with room to add load. If you tick a set without typing reps, the app asks rather than saving a blank.
Follow the nudge next time
When you hit the top of a rep range, the card suggests the next step — one more rep while you're inside the range, a little more weight once you're at the top of it.
Not a gym person?
Log activity records a walk, a class or a swim in a few taps, and anything your watch or phone writes to Apple Health or Health Connect appears in your week automatically. The week strip shows the last seven days, and a row beneath it says when each muscle group was last trained — in plain words, not percentages.
Movement after meals — your own comparison
Because your meals live in the same app, a meal's detail screen can tell you that you moved for twenty minutes afterwards. If you wear a sensor, Move also compares your measured meals: how often the response was gentle after you moved, against the meals where you didn't. It needs a few meals in each group, it uses measured responses only, and it is described as what it is — a pattern to notice, not a cause. The background is in what ten minutes of walking actually does.
